Check out this short cycle break where you can cycle the best of the Hawke’s Bay Trails, visit the top wineries and have some fun with new friends.  This is a fully supported group cycle holiday – we’ve organised everything for you to make a stress free, fun cycle holiday break. Stay in the seaside village of Ahuriri, and cycle great routes right past Hawke’s Bays top attractions to visit while riding along the trails including world renowned wineries, the famous Hawke’s Bay Farmers Market, New Zealand’s largest honey producer and art deco Napier City.  Stay at East Pier Hotel right on the beach for 3 nights, enjoy great food and wine at the best places and explore our wonderful region over 4 fun filled, active days knowing all you have to do is get on an e-bike and pedal!

Arrive in the bay before 11am for your first cycle tour.  Let us know your travel plans, we can pick you up from the HB airport on arrival.

We start the day with an easy cycle south through the Ahuriri Estuary, view the variety of protected birdlife in this Department of Conservation Wildlife Sanctuary.  Arriving in Taradale we will visit New Zealand’s oldest winery, Mission Estate, a wine tasting and lunch (optional).  After lunch we follow the scenic bike path along the Tutaekuri River finishing in Puketapu where the group can have a cold beer before being shuttled back to Ahuriri.

Day 1 Includes:
• Supported cycle tour – Ahuriri to Puketapu Trail
• Visits to Mission Estate Winery,  Puketapu Pub

Overnight Ahuriri, Napier – East Pier Hotel

After breakfast at Ahuriri Village Kitchen, we depart Napier’s port village of Ahuriri to the Napier CBD famed for its Art
Deco style. Continuing along the seafront you follow Marine Parade and the Pacific coast with views out to Cape
Kidnappers. Stop at Atea te Rangi – the Māori Star Compass, a highlight for today. Follow the Clive River to Black Bridge., you cycle along the river trail to Clifton. 

OPTIONS: Visit the three award-winning wineries here – Elephant Hill, Clearview and Te Awanga Estate for wine tastings and lunch 

OR have a quick lunch and go on a 4 hour unique wildlife tour to visit the world’s largest gannet colony with Gannet Safari Tours. 

Our shuttles will take you back to Ahuriri in the late afternoon where you can relax and get ready for a night out. 
Day 2 includes:

• Supported Cycle Tour- Ahuriri to Cape Coast (26km)
• Breakfast at Ahuriri Village Kitchen
• Booking for lunch and wine tastings (optional)
• Gannet Safari Tour (optional)

Overnight Ahuriri, Napier – East Pier Hotel

Breakfast is again at Ahuriri Village Kitchen then this morning we will visit the renowned Hawke’s Bay Farmers Market where you will get the opportunity to explore and experience some of Hawke’s Bay’s best local produce. Get some tasty treats for lunch! We will then cycle out to the Bridge Pa Triangle to visit some amazing wineries. The ride takes you around the acclaimed Ngatarawa/Gimblett Gravels appellation. The afternoon is all about the wine! Enjoy the ambience and wine of the cellar doors – there is much to enjoy as you visit the cellar doors of some of the regions finest wineries including Trinity Hills, Oak Estate and Sileni Estates for optional tastings. 

As this is the final evening, we will book a group dinner at the award winning Bistronomy Restaurant as a way to enjoy your groups company one last time.  A very tasty time! To pay direct to restaurant.

Day 3 Includes:
• Breakfast at Ahuriri Village Kitchen
• Visit and tour of the Sunday Farmers Market
• Supported cycle tour- Gimblett Gravels Wine Trail
• Wine tasting Trinity Hill, Oak Estate and Sileni Estate (optional)

Overnight East Pier Hotel,  Ahuriri

Following breakfast cycle to Napier for a guided Art Deco walking tour of the Napier CBD area (optional) – hear the stories of the 1931 Earthquake and how this has influenced the Art deco capital of the world. You will have time to have a look around the shops and stop in at one of the many cafes for lunch before you are shuttled back to the airport or make your way home.

Day 4 Includes:
• Breakfast at Ahuriri Village Kitchen
• Art Deco Napier City Tour (optional)
• Explore Napier City (and shopping!)
• Airport drop off – leave for home.

Cost: $1450pp (NZ)
Price based on 2 people with double/ twin accommodation. Surcharge for single room $350pp.
