Upon arriving in Napier, you will be picked up from Napier Airport and transferred to the superb Crown Hotel in Ahuriri or if you are driving make your way to your accommodation. 

Following arrival, we will have a 2pm guided Art Deco walking tour of the Napier CBD area- hear the stories of the 1931 Earthquake and how this has influenced the Art deco capital of the world.

Enjoy a Welcome dinner at Mission Estate – New Zealand’s oldest winery. 

Day 1 includes:

Overnight Ahuriri- The Crown Hotel

After breakfast at Milk and Honey, we meet at base and get your bikes fitted before heading off on our first ride through the Ahuriri Estuary, passing the popular surf beach of Westshore and out to Bayview. Cycle through the lagoon farmland and Ahuriri estuary and view the variety of protected birdlife in this Department of Conservation Wildlife Sanctuary. Arriving in Taradale we will visit the elegant and relaxed Church Rd winery for a platter lunch and wine tasting.

There is no more cycling today as our shuttle is there to whisk you away back to Napier for a night at the Crown Hotel.  A quick stop is scheduled for a visit to Urban Winery for a local beer/wine or gin tasting. Dinner is your own choice tonight, we will have some great recommendations for you here!

Day 2 includes: 

• Breakfast at Milk and Honey
• Guided cycle tour- Ahuriri Estuary Trail
• Platter lunch & wine tasting- Church Road Winery
• Urban Winery visit and tasting

Overnight Ahuriri- The Crown Hotel

A day of diversity! From the Art Deco glamour of Napier city to the moody coastline of Marine Parade and the mouths of the regions four rivers the scene is ever-changing. We will make our way to spectacular Cape Kidnappers and our lunch destination, Hygge Café. After lunch you will have a unique wildlife encounter when visiting the world’s largest gannet colony with Gannet Safari Tours.  Our shuttles will take you to your accommodation via a visit to the majestic Te Mata Peak lookout.

Dinner is your own choice of fantastic restaurants available in Havelock North. We will, of course, have some recommendations for you.

Day 3 includes:

• Breakfast at Village Kitchen Cafe
• Supported Cycle Tour- Ahuriri to Cape Coast (34km)
• Lunch at Hygge Café
• Overland Gannet Safari Tour
• Te Mata Peak visit

Overnight Havelock North- Porters Boutique Hotel

The ride starts along quiet country roads of the Tukituki valley before dropping into the river trail and heading out to Cape Kidnappers following the trail through orchards and vineyards. We visit Clearview Estate for lunch and a “behind the scenes” winery tour with the wine maker. You will then cycle the scenic Tukituki river trail to the iconic Arataki Honey (NZ’s biggest manuka honey producer) before riding to your accommodation in Havelock North

• Day 4 includes:
• Breakfast at Maina Cafe
• Guided cycle tour – Tukituki Valley
• Lunch at Clearview Winery
• Clearview Winery Tour- Walk and Talk with the winemaker.
• Arataki Honey visit

Overnight Havelock North – Porters Boutique Hotel

In the morning we will visit the renowned Hawke’s Bay Farmers Market where you will get the opportunity to explore and experience some of Hawke’s Bay’s best local produce. We will then cycle out to Bridge Pa Triangle. The ride takes you around the acclaimed Ngatarawa/ Gimblett Gravels appellation. The afternoon is all about the wine! Enjoy the ambience and wine of the cellar doors offering tastings and winery style food. There is much to enjoy as you visit the cellar doors of some of the regions finest wineries including Trinity Hills, Oak Estate.

After lunch, our van will come and pick the group up (approx 2pm) to shuttle everyone back to Napier and the airport or to your car to make your way home. If you are keen on another night in Hawke’s Bay, talk to us as we can make accommodation bookings on your behalf.
