Bookings & Admin Support – Part-Time
Love helping people, keeping things organised and making sure the little details don’t fall through the cracks?
Tākaro Trails Cycle Tours is looking for a friendly, capable and organised person to join our team in a part-time Bookings & Admin Support role. We’re a busy Hawke’s Bay cycle tourism business, helping visitors explore our region by bike through self-guided rides, private tours, multi-day tours and cruise ship experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
This is a varied role combining customer service, bookings and tour administration. You’ll help make sure our customers are well looked after from their first enquiry through to the day of their tour.
Your work will include:
- Responding to customer and trade enquiries by email and phone
- Preparing quotes and following up enquiries
- Entering and managing bookings accurately in our Rezdy reservation system
- Making arrangements needed for tours, including restaurant and winery bookings
- Checking tour information and making sure everything is ready for delivery
- Helping customers at our Napier HQ and cycle HUB
- Working closely with our bookings and operations team
- Helping solve the occasional curveball that tourism likes to throw our way
You’ll suit this role if you are:
- Friendly, confident and genuinely enjoy dealing with people
- Very organised and accurate
- Comfortable using computers and learning booking systems
- A clear communicator by phone and email
- Good at following a job through rather than leaving loose ends
- Able to work independently while being part of a small team
- Familiar with Hawke’s Bay and ideally our local cycle trails and tourism experiences
- AI knowledge an advantage to help us improve work efficiencies for the future
Experience in tourism, bookings, administration or customer service would be useful, but attitude, reliability and attention to detail are just as important to us.
Hours & pay
This is a part-time role of approximately 15 hours per week, with hours negotiated to suit the role and the successful applicant. Some weekend work between 9am and 5pm will be required.
Pay: $27–$29 per hour, depending on experience.
Our business is seasonal, so there is opportunities for additional hours during our busy summer months.
Want some extra adventure?
There may also be optional additional work with our cruise ship tours, including further tour administration and communication or working as part of our cycling and walking guide team.
If you’re looking for a small but important role in a friendly tourism business where good organisation directly creates great customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
To apply: Please send us your CV and a short note telling us a little about yourself, why this role appeals to you, and your general availability.
