Hawke’s Bay | Part-Time/Casual | Starting May 2026
We’re on the lookout for a Cycle Tour Driver & Operations Assistant to join our crew here in beautiful Hawke’s Bay. This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. One minute you’re behind the van wheel transporting riders to their next adventure, the next you’re helping get bikes prepped, tuned, and ready to roll. If you like the idea of mixing practical work, people, and a bit of fresh air every day…let’s talk.
You’ll be a key part of delivering unforgettable cycling experiences, making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. That means helping with logistics, looking after gear, supporting customers along the way, and jumping in to solve problems when they pop up (because they always do, usually at the most “fun” moments).
Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in what we do – keeping things safe, seamless, and seriously enjoyable for every rider who joins us.
What you’ll bring:

- A full driver’s licence (current for more than 2 years)
- Confident driver able to drive a 12 seater van with passengers and towing trailer
- Great people skills – you enjoy a chat and know how to make customers feel welcome and looked after
- A decent level of fitness – bikes don’t move themselves, loading on and off trailers is a must
- The ability to work on-site in Hawke’s Bay
- Flexibility and reliability, including weekends (absolutely essential)
- Bike Mechanic ability a bonus only basic skills are needed here
- Experience in tourism, outdoor work, or similar is a bonus, but not essential
We’re offering full days (8.30-5pm-ish), with casual/on call (rostering one week in advance), 1-3 days a week, with priority given to weekends. When summer hits (September) there is the opportunity for more work (as a driver and/or cycle guide) on a more permanent basis depending on your skills.
