via the Ahuriri Estuary. Stop at the historical Mission Estate, the oldest winery in New Zealand. 15-35kms + shuttle back to Ahuriri.

Stay at the quality accommodation available in Ahuriri or arrange your own accommodation (for more flexibility), plus ride the 2 best trails which take you to great places in Hawke’s bay.

DAY BY DAY BRIEF:
Travel to Hawke’s Bay to your accommodation in Ahuriri, Napier. Depending on your travel arrangements and timing, drive directly there for check in or be met by our complimentary shuttle at the Hawke’s Bay Airport for transfer to Ahuriri. If you arrive before 10am you can get riding on arrival day!
Day 1: Cycle 16-26kms along flat, easy pathways to Cape Kidnappers.
Have a leisurely start with breakfast at Ahuriri Village Kitchen ($20pp voucher included in your package). You will be met with your bikes mid morning and given a map and instructions to begin your cycle down stunning pathways, through coastal, orchard and vineyard country to Cape Kidnappers. You can visit one or all of the Cape Kidnappers cluster of wineries – Elephant Hill, Clearview and Te Awanga Estate for wine tastings.
Lunch (cost to be paid direct to winery) is at the gorgeous Clearview Estate . Our van will pick you up after lunch to transport you back for another night at your accommodation in Ahuriri.
Day 2: Cycle 15-35kms along flat, easy pathways around the Ahuriri Estuary Trails.
These diverse trails go North to Bayview then inland to Taradale and Puketapu – tons to see here! Cycle for a half day and get lunch (& pick-up) at Church Road or Mission Estate winery (15-25km) or head all the way to Puketapu Pub (26km) for a full days ride. Our van will pick you up late afternoon to transport you back to Ahuriri for another night or to make your way home.
Depending on your transport and timing – another great half day activity is to spend some time shopping in Napier, take an Art Deco walking tour, visit the Farmers Market (Sundays only), Cape Kidnappers Gannet tour before heading back home. Tell us what you want, we can make all bookings on your behalf.
